Poppy Starr Olsen has just claimed first prize in the pro division of the Vans Girls Combi Pool Classic 2016

Poppy Starr Olsen has just claimed first prize in the pro division of the Vans Girls Combi Pool Classic 2016 held every year in January at Vans Skate Park in Orange, CA. Details from World Cup of Skateboarding: http://www.wcsk8.com/events/girls-combi-pool-classic-2016.  This makes  Poppy now currently the reigning world bowl champing for women 

The event is a world cup event and is the biggest and most prestigious girls skate boarding event in the world. 

Poppy is the 2nd youngest competitor to ever take out this event;Poppy is only the 2nd Australian to ever take out a world cup skate boarding event (Renton Miller was the other) 2015 World cup title for 15 and over amateur skate boarder. First ever to win the Girls Combi Pool Classic on her first competition as a pro. Poppy is an active guest speaker for events like Stand Tall and has spoken at a TEDx event

    I can't believe what this young girl has achieve in her short 15 years of life, she is quite inspirational. I hope our school can see her speak at Halogen in Brisbane. I will definitely be passing this information on to the relevant people at our school.
